		<description><![CDATA[There is no corporate job that I enjoyed working at or wanted to be there other than to have income to fuel the things I am actually passionate about. They knew it, I knew it. So we can do the song and dance during the interview if they are looking for a cog, or I can be a linchpin and seek to work with companies (and clients, as I&#039;m an artist) that want more and actually do care that employees have passion beyond cubicles. The truth is, for every company seeking a linchpin, there are still many seeking a cog that will follow rules, suppresses creative thought to be a &quot;team player&quot; who brings in the doughnuts and hangs at happy hour, and contribute nothing to the bottom line but still makes employee of the month...after all, the cog did bring in doughnuts.  
 
We can do three things: pretend the workforce is something it is not, accept what the workforce is, or actually work to make it better where the questions you mentioned above are actually asked on an interview instead of the usual crap; and being a linchpin won&#039;t be being an oddball, but something people strive to be. 
 
To date, not a single one of those questions were said to me on an interview, from the lowest level work in a store job during college, to professional management positions when I was in corporate America. Never. ]]></description>
